This hot and sunny weather,
With more of it forecast.
Can anybody tell me,
How long's it going to last?

Bless...what a cutie😊❤. And long may it last in my opinion...I'm loving it 😆. Though I feel for those who arent of course! xxx
I think I must be getting climatised to the heat, it's still as hot but isn't affecting me as badly as it previously did.
Good, I'm pleased 😊 x
Another two weeks at least I think Don. Should see a dry Wimbledon for a change. Xxx
well i have to inform you my dear Midge
you must park your bum within the fridge
for this sun is forecast for another week
for little hot dogs thats rather bleak
Ski's and his cool cat x
I heard a tale of how hot dogs came to be so called. Apparently it was in New York when someone thought of putting a sausage between bread and they called it Daschund dog. A reporter didn't know how to spell this so he called it a hot dog! x
Often wondered why they were called hot dogs - now i know ❤️
Hello Don, love the picture of your little dog. This awful heat is apparently going on for another month worse luck. I'm a bit of a party pooper Don when it comes to the summer, I just don't like it. And it affects all of us with lung problems. I hope you are keeping yourself well. ✋️😉xx
We've been reclusive up to now, hiding indoors, but I think we're going to have to venture out a bit more taking proper precautions.
I am only mild copd but this humid air is really getting to me. I have only been able to walk at a snails pace as I just can't breathe. I've had the usual 'friends striding out in front' routine and trying to hold a conversation with them as they get further and further away.... x
Love your pooch Don
Met office say:
Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days
UK Outlook for Sunday 8 Jul 2018 to Tuesday 17 Jul 2018:
On Sunday much of the UK will be dry, very warm and potentially hot, with a good deal of sunshine. There is however a risk of cloudier and breezier conditions with some rain in the far north and northwest. Through the following week the largely dry, settled and very warm conditions are likely to continue in central and southern areas although some showery spells are possible, with a risk of thundery showers at times in the south and southwest. Cloudier conditions are likely in the northwest with a little rain, and with temperatures closer to normal. Towards the end of this period there may be change to more unsettled conditions across the north and northwest, but largely fine weather will probably continue elsewhere.
UK Outlook for Wednesday 18 Jul 2018 to Wednesday 1 Aug 2018:
For the second half of July it looks as though fine weather is most likely to dominate across the UK, with mostly dry, sunny and warm conditions, especially in the south. However, there are likely to be interludes of more unsettled weather, especially in the north and northwest, when it may be cloudier with perhaps some rain at times. There's also a risk of some thundery showers at times in the south, especially in any further very warm or hot spells. Temperatures overall up until the start of August are likely to be well above average, but returning nearer to average at times in any more changeable spells.

Far too long in my opinion Don.
A few degrees lower would be much better for me but it's the pollen rather than the weather that's bothering me at the moment. I'm constantly coughing, my throat feels like it's full of gravel and my eyes are red, sore and watery. I've not had hay fever before but I'm guessing I've got it now only my sons antihistamines aren't working for me🙁.
I believe the pollen count has been at a all time high. I've heard a number of people say they have been affected but have never suffered from hay fever before.
Supposed to be for at least another two weeks .I love the sun but boy it makes breathing even harder .Simple tasks take forever.i hope you all are taking care in this hot weather xxxx
A bit too long for my liking, Don! Too hot to do anything down here in Sussex. xx Moy
Funny isn't it, just 12 months ago I was complaining about the same thing when I wrote:
I'm sorry I complained now
In winter of the cold.
I envied things that hibernate
And put their lives on hold.
But now I've changed my mind.
I see that I was wrong.
As I sit here in the freezer ,
Wearing just a thong.
Don't know how long it's going to last Don but I know I'm heartily sick of it ! The gardens everywhere look parched and thirsty. People hurrying by with heavy shopping look hot and miserable. But little Lady Midge looks delightful ! Take care, Sheila xx
