Pfizer #2 jab

Had my 2nd jab yesterday. So far same as first. No side effects at all. I don’t know if this means anything or if I’m building antibodies? Seems my body would have some immune reaction…

No, vaccine side effects don’t tell you how well your immune system will protect you from COVID-19

I’m sure you’ll be building antibodies. Good to have that second jab. Xxxx

I’m still masking up and distancing, however I do feel somewhat safer!

I’d put it off due to fear of the unknown. Eventually, fear of contracting COVID won out!

That's good. Covid19 will stay with us for sure, so the best is to be vaccinated against it. Stay well 😁😘

I had no side effects after the Pfizer jabs, but I am in a study where I am tested for antibodies every month. So far I have been positive for antibodies from vaccination every time. I am only told whether the result is positive or negative, so no idea whether the antibody levels are waning at all, but it is reassuring to know they are still present.I'm so pleased you eventually had the jab. The more of us that do, the greater the hope of getting out of this awful situation.

Well done re having both your vaccinations. I had the same vaccinations, no side effects at all, though I'm down as extremely allergic to most things..my only concern having no reaction was the working of immune. Im Immune Suppressed and no one, including Consultants seem to know how that will affect any working of the vaccines. . All I've been told is, if you are immune suppressed the vaccinations may not work. They won't test me as they say the test won't give the right result ie, on people immune suppressed. I wish there was a test that could tell us, if we have managed to build some kind of immunity through vaccination. It seems the immune suppressed people are a grey area..im still so glad I had my vaccinations though,. Hopefully one day someone will hear us, and be able to develop a test for the Immune Suppressed, (there are thousands and thousands of us) just so we know if anything has indeed worked.. Stay safe..H 🌻

It’s so good to have another string to the bow in our protective armour. I had a reaction to the first jab but not the second and the link from 2greys negates a lot of the myths about reactions.

Like you, I shall continue to be cautiously careful as I proceed out into the non-shielded world but it is exciting.

My wife and I have had both Pfizer jabs. My wife was very tired the 2nd day after the first vaccine, but neither of us had any significant side effects. However, we subsequently had antibody tests, and we both have antibodies to COVID-19, my wife registering a particularly strong response.

So reactions to the vaccine may not be a good guide to antibody response, besides which it is expected to take several weeks to build up. There is also the T “killer-cell” response, which I’m not sure is readily measurable but which is an important adjunct to antibodies and can be primed even if the AB response is low.
