Qvar over Fostaire any day.

Asthma nurse changed my Qvar to Fostaire back in February. Almost 4 months later after worsening breathing problems, wheeze (worse than usual), coughing at nighttime, sore throats, heart palpitations, bad headaches, anxiety attacks, dropsy with holding things... I stopped taking Fostaire and asked to be put back on Qvar. Feeling so much better..... I’m sure Fostaire is good for some people.... but definitely not good for me.

Fostair also caused me problems. Stopped it and went back to my previous medication. Problem solved. I know other members have experienced problems also.xxSheila .💕

Hi and welcome. Fostair has helped me tremendously. Just goes to show how different we can be where medication is concerned. Hope you enjoy being part of our forum.

Hi, glad you're feeling better now. It never ceases to amaze me how differently we respond to medication. Fostair has been utterly brilliant for me! P

Hi and welcome. We each react differently to the meds we are prescribed and have to find the best one for us. Sorry to hear of your fostair woes I’ve been so much healthier since being in it. Take care x

Hi and welcome. I find Fostair a mix...it improves my Peak Flow but it makes me wheeze more 🤷‍♀️ But with other inhalers I’ve ended up with severe asthma attacks and hospital stays so I stick with the wheeze and the slightly more stable peak flow 🤦‍♀️I’m glad Qvar is good for you!

Hi I am pleased you have found an inhaler which works for you. I never got on with Qvar and now I am on Fostaire I am feeling much better. It just proves that what works for one doesn't always work for another.

Oh and welcome to the site.

I’m taking fostair and had changed from qvar after having a bout of aspergillosis. I find it works for me. I’ve tried a few times to cut back on it. The last time was a few weeks ago as I started to have a sore tongue. I started to have breathing problems when I cut down so am now back on 2x200 mcg puffs twice a day.

I use fostair, have tried several others including the triple ones , but they all made me worse . We are all different which makes it really hard .🤔🤔

Fostair was never any good for me so I went on to QVAR. I am now on Trimbow which seems okay
