Vitamin D
Could you please refine your question, for sure you can have problems if you taking to much or taking not enough. But vitamin D is important and needed. During winter months or if you stay indoors, is good to take vitamin D when you have not much sunlight in your country, normally your body creates D from sunlight. And it's definitely an important mineral for your body.
Take care and stay safe 🍀🍀🍀
The problem is not getting enough of it - people with copd (sorry I dont know your diagnosis jlc72) are known to be low in Vitamin D, as are many older people.
Vit D helps the body absorb calcium but Vit K2 is needed for this to happen properly otherwise the calcium in the bloodstream can get deposited in places where it shouldnt be, like the arteries. I take 3,000 iu Vit D a day and 200mg Vit K2.
But let us know if you have more questions.
No problem, only if you are deficient. Then you will need to supplement with vitamin D3.
Deficiency can lead to many other health issues so good to get out of any deficiency range.
