Its terrible the amount of scams going on. It's the really vulnerable people I feel for that wouldn't think twice and be caught out. You have a lovely weekend xx🙂

I agree and it seems to be getting worse. Thank you, wishing you a lovely weekend too. Xxx😊

I think these scammers are the scum of the earth but other than report them to the relevant people I suppose there is nothing more that we can do, we have to be on our guard against them all the time. Where I live we currently seem to have a group of young men knocking on doors pretending to be on an offenders rehabilitation scheme where they go round trying to sell household goods at inflated prices. One person felt sorry for them and bought the products but said that they were all absolute rubbish and put them in the bin, realising she had been scammed. The local police said that there is no such scheme. I just worry that vulnerable people living on their own may fall for it. Thanks for alerting us to this one. Have a good weekend. xx

Oh I had one of these today. He said he was selling trainers but I would never buy off anyone like that. My sister and I sent him packing.

Yes I had that one earlier this week ....I just deleted it....I don't have a HSBC account. But I wonder how I would have reacted if I had, the initial reaction is to try and do something about it.....very easy to catch you out. You have to really stop and think even when you get a genuine email ....there getting very good at this. I wish there was some way they could be caught and severely punished.

My mum and husband both got this and we have a C Jones in the family so it freaked us out! Thankfully no one clicked it but we all checked with our banks and also got the C Jones to check their account too!! Bank just said there are hundreds of this sort of scam and to just delete it! If no one takes them seriously then what chance as the “scummers” don’t need a very high success rate to rake it in ☹️

I have had a few of those and one time they did hit on my correct bank. I ignored it as I knew my bank would never send me an email like that. Scummers is the right word for them! x

I've had that too! I treat any requests for money as scams till I've thoroughly checked them out.

I've had 2 of these as well, HSBC and Lloyds. As I was in Lloyds pharmacy when the Lloyds one came through I thought it was to do with them so queried it with them! Of course, as I now know, it is yet another scam!

Many thanks for this information. There is another on going round concerning washing machine warranty. I got a telephone call yesterday. On checking the number with who calls me the number was listed as a scam.

I hate these scams. Got one from a bank, not mine and another from royal mail. I delete and block.
