Can anyone help i have been told i cannot have a live vaccine because of medication. what should i do how will i know.

I think your best bet is to get in touch with your Consultants or GPs office and ask if any of the vaccines offered are 'live' and remind them of the meds you're taking and see what they suggest.

I agree with Annie31 check with your Medical professional. I have a friend who cannot have live vaccine and he is going to check with his GP. Try not to worry as they will advise you.

As far as I am aware non of the vaccines are live, in fact they are very much dead. Moreso than most vaccines. I too am unable to have live vaccines.

The Pfizer vaccine is called an mRNA vaccine ie it’s not “live” - works with DNA but you need to check with your Dr.

I asked my consultant about this is I am on immunosuppressents. The covid vaccine is not live.

I cannot have live vaccines either but I have been assured by my immunologist that none of the COVID vaccines are live.

Yes as said not a live vaccine however better safe than sorry still talk to your consultant

No current COVID-19 vaccines are live. The flu jab is also not live.
