Vaccine
There are a number of vaccines on the horizon and my wife is in a similar situation to you. Both her GP and consultant are on the case but no firm answers have been given yet. Personally I feel the Oxford vaccines will be the one for her.
My 80 year old sister in law was told by her doctor that she couldn't have the current vaccine because of various allergies and it would be safer to wait for other vaccines to be available. It sounds as if this might apply to you (and perhaps to me.) Do keep on trucking Suesal. Love, Alberta.
Having bronchiectasis (me) and copd would indicate your need to be protected from covud 19. Haemophillus influenzae is one of the bacteria which can get into the lungs of those with copd and bronch, needing antibiotics so part of the same problem. If your immune system is just not good at fighting off bugs and viruses, the vaccine would help it do this.If you are seriously immuno compromised or have auto immune disease this could indicate that you should not have the vaccine. This should be discussed with your doctor.
You do not say that you have any serious allergies and so that shouldn't be a problem.
I hope that it does turn out that you can get protected.
Thank you for your reply Littlepom yes we just got to keep going fingers crossed lots of love SUESAL πΎπΎπΎπππ₯°π¦ππ
I am immunocompromised and have been advised by my consultants to have the vaccine. Like the flu vaccine they say I may not have the required response but should still have the jab. I have also heard that it may stop the immunocompromised getting COVID so badly. On the bright side they are also trialling vaccines for those with a lower immune system including the elderly. What I have not been able to get an answer on is the effect of the jab on my autoimmune disease. You are getting very mixed responses on here can you get in touch with your consultants secretary and ask her to ask the question for you?
Yes thank you for your reply Molokai I will get in touch with my doctors secretary at the hospital or my husband or one of my daughters will as I am very Deaf I have had the flu vaccine for years and I know that has helped me love and happiness SUESAL πΎπΎπΎπΎπ₯°π¦ππ
