Hi Marlee. Unless it was an emergency, if I felt the need of abs & steroids so soon after the last lot, I'd see my GP first. It could be there's still some infection there, or it could just be inflammatory wheeze caused by the infection - the GP can tell by listening to your chest.

Bronch affects us all differently, so the key thing is, how do you feel? You mention cough & slight breathlessness, but these are par for the course with bronch, especially in this very cold weather - do you feel ill? If you have asthma as well, could it be that instead? If I think I've got an infection, I don't hesitate to take antibiotics, but so soon after the last lot I'd try & get my GP's opinion, and send in a sputum sample to identify the bug.

The colour of the stuff that you are coughing up is usually the best guide.

If I were you Marlee I would talk with doctor first, because your emergency pack is a course and if he feels you need to stay on them because of infection then he will extend them. It's happened to me a few times. Get well soon ✋️😊

Hi, I would agree with seeing the doctor before starting meds. In my Mums case the length of course was changed, and it was also made a lot clearer when she needed antibiotics or steroids or both when she was having successive flare ups. She also has had ibutropian bromide (something like that) nebules added to the usual ones she is on. The Community Matron explained to me that it can take time to fully recover from a flare up, so as someone else has said could it be the tail end of the previous flare up?

Hope you feel better.
