I tried cbd oil for pain but i felt it adversely affected my breathing and done nothing to help with the pain. However i have a friend who swears by it and uses it daily (she dosent have resp problems though). so i think its effectiveness is quite individual to the user.

I have three of the known pain syndromes. I have tried CBD in different concentrations however I found it made no difference what so ever to my pain. It made little or no difference to my breathing. My sister in law as less complex problems and she states that it helps her greatly. It appears to be very individual. I think who must read the advertisement which states it may or it can help people. There are no guarantees.

Tried 2 different strengths . No difference noticed.

Tried it for pain myself after lots of research (child has a respiratory disease, I have chronic pain from multiple sources and inflammatory arthritis) and found no benefit at all over almost a month. There seems to be greater benefit anecdotally if pain is more muscular or postural in origin: although the stuff in the U.K. doesn’t contain much at all in the way of THC (the bit that gets you high), many CBD users consistently report that they feel much more relaxed, which may explain why muscular and postural pain seems to improve. I certainly found it made me feel the kind of too chill I got when I used to have the odd joint as a naughty boy, and that feeling was why I didn’t do much of that back then before giving it up completely as a bad job, so CBD and I didn’t get on from that perspective to start with. A lot of the formal studies being done at the minute do suggest that the true pain relieving effect from cannabis comes from the psychoactive compounds (the high bits that aren’t allowed in CBD), which is why the few licensed cannabis products like Sativex for MS and the epilepsy drugs all contain other cannabinoids in ddition to CBD. It’s also why the whole plant is legalised medicinally in several places worldwide, rather than just certain elements or extracts. Over on the arthritis forums, many people say the same thing: loads of people they know swear by CBD but it didn’t do a thing for them, which is why they really do need to get some proper research done, imo, particularly when you look at the cost of CBD and the relative lack of regulation.
