Vaping CBD

I have COPD and I want to take CBD oil, problem is, I've tried the drops and they are absolutely vile.

I was looking in the window of one of the many vape shops that seem to have sprung up everywhere and saw that they do a specific vape kit for smoking CBD oil.

My questions are these : is this a good way to consume the oil? Is it likely to be safe? I haven't smoked anything in about 6 & a half years so I'm worried about doing anything that might do more harm

Thanks for reading my rambling nonsense

Terry

Hi Locksmith

I don’t see the point of vaping CBD oil when you can take it by mouth. I think if you have lung problems it’s best to avoid smoking or vaping anything and put nothing in your lungs apart from good fresh air. If you don’t like the taste of it you can buy full strength capsules from various companies. I’ve tried them from Healthspan both full strength and super strength. I don’t have COPD but tried them for my arthritis. I didn’t notice much difference to my arthritis but I did feel calmer. Apparently claims are made that they are good for pain, inflammation and anxiety. They may be worth trying if you can afford them as they are quite expensive but otherwise save your money and opt for a good diet, exercise and fresh air.

Take care

Corin

Hi I use cbd tea bags you can buy online. They tend to be sold in bags of 10 and 1 bag does 2 mugs. They do have a relaxing effect.

I am Very pro vaping but I most certainly do Not endorse vaping CBD oils.

please do a search on vaping CBD illnesses, there have been several deaths in the USA that are linked to vaping badly produced CBD oils

Do a search for ‘popcorn lung’. It would put me off vaping anything. Perhaps you could add the oil to something that you like that has a strong taste? I tried it for a while and think the claims for it have been greatly exaggerated but we are all different so you may find it helps.

Popcorn lung is caused by the chemical diacetyl which is still used in some flavourings in the USA. However its use is banned from being used in e-cigarettes in the EU.

I agree with Corin's good advice. Look after your lungs and don't inhale anything other than clean air if possible. Stick to the meds that you have been prescribed.

Yes I'm agreeing with our lovely members who are ,let's say, airing on the side of caution. Like they've already stated,I'm sure anything in our lungs (but we are all different)apart from the air we need to breathe, fills me with dread! Do lots of research and then you may know if it's for you? Good luck🍀

I use mint flavor CBD oil from an American company, its not cheap, but helps me so I think it is worth it.

The company is H B Naturals,

Thanks for your thoughts everyone, I think I was probably just looking for an excuse to smoke something - almost anything, I miss smoking even after 6 years and more. Absolutely mad really but that's Human beings for ya.

I think in my heart of hearts I knew what you guys were going to say and I 💯%agree with you, will look for another way to take CBD oil.

Once again, thanks everyone

Good to hear that. Take care of your lungs and the rest of yourself too.

I too missed smoking for many years but after ten years never thought about it at all, so keep resisting.

I would not even try it if I hadn’t smoked for 6 years.

I would advice not to vape oil. The press are really having a good ole bash at oil vaping. There are now CBD creams and potions. Also in tablet form. Maybe have a look at those paths instead. Have a look on Heathspan website as they have a good informative readup on the CBD. I hope that this is a little help. Get well read up on this as it may well be the way forward, but with your COPD I wouldn't want to compromise your breathing at all.

Thanks for the good advice, I will certainly keep checking other options as I am fairly sure CBD could help

I would be tempted to mix some under the tongue CBD oil drops with some body lotion and rub that on your poorly parts. I have read that applying the CBD drops to your pulse points or the back of your hands is a good way of absorption. Wherever you can see your veins as a guide. x

Six and a half years smoke free - well done! Why on earth would you want to start inhaling anything after all this time? Giving up is hard - you don't want that struggle all over again do you?
