I agree totally with you on this. What's the point of wearing masks on public transportation and shops, buy you don't need to wesr them when in pubs or out for a meal. Have a goodnight and stay safe 😊 Bernadette and Jack xxxx

Hi hope your well

Yes it’s very annoying and confusing

There’s talk of handing fines out but how can they really when they’re just contradicting themselves all the time

I don’t want to get into a big debate over this

I know you wouldn’t be able to wear them in pubs and restaurants that’s my point

If this virus is as bad as they say the pubs and restaurants shouldn’t be open the government should be paying them to keep shut and not be encouraging big gatherings.

The police are clamping down on gatherings over 30 people well that’s a joke in its self

The pubs and restaurants are packed and nothing’s done about it.

Instead while out in the streets and shops and public transport were poked and prodded like cattle told what to do and when It’s about time we stood up to these psychopaths before it’s too late it’s our children’s and gran children’s freedom I’m talking about here and in 10 years time what you going to tell them You did in the so called coronavirus pandemic

Yes that’s right NOTHING I’m sure they’ll than you for it

Rant over

There is nothing wrong with a good rant, but surely there should be a point to it and I really can't see the point you are trying to make - seems to me that you are suggesting that the whole Coronavirus issue is just another thing with which to bang the government over the head. I'm sure that the families of the thousands who have died will disagree with you.

Agree! People don’t seem to realise that this is not a Problem unique to the UK! Every country is affected and some have much more stringent rules than we do. Every government is facing the unknown and is doing their best. Their decisions are made on the latest information and that’s really all they can rely on to make their decisions. So not useful to just moan, more useful to follow the guidance.

Here in Spain masks have to be worn now everywhere. You wear a mask to go into a bar or restaurant and only remove it when you are seated, if you need the toilet you must put it back on again and also when you leave. You are not allowed to stand at the bar. Seems to work well in our area. Carole x

It works in our Area also Carole, as My Hubby works as an experienced Bar Manager , everyone has to sign in regardless that they all are Locals, and Masks worn at all times other Than Drinking/eating. There is no Problem at all as they all Have Respect for each other and especially the Owners. Patrons are aged from 18 to 90, all of them do what they have to do to stop the Spread of this Virus. Have a Great Monday Carole. XXX C.

Respect for others is the key Hacienda, and it’s something we Brits don’t seem to have in abundance! I lived in Spain and the rules and regulations are adhered to ,strictly and people don’t need to be told in fine detail what to do! I think the Spanish police system is much more rigid than here in the UK......we always say, you don’t mess with the police in Spain! at the end of the day though it’s all down to people taking responsibility for themselves and others, and we seem to have an awful lot of people here in the UK who don’t see that!

OH Dear Ozzy, Respect is my First nature for all. I shall explain as we all know of each other on here. Lived in Spain 28 years, All my Family Born & Live in Spain. Hubby was a Bar Manager there, (now here), Just responding to Dear Carole. Whom I know, & Understand the Police in Spain, much Tighter reign over everything, Been with them myself having many Amigos en el Guardia y Local Policia tambien. It is True about Lack of Respect in some parts of UK not everywhere though. Have a lovely Monday . Wear your Mask, stay safe. C. XX

So true Stoney1970. I now go to my small shopping centre in mask and gloves but half the people in there are wearing no protection whatsoever. Why????????

I wear a mask everytime I go to the shops and feel better for being protected and still keep my distance and stick to hand washing. Yes there are alot of people that dont and some cant wear a mask. To me its simple, if you want to be safe wear a mask, we really shouldnt need somebody to keep telling us what to do, this virus will be here for years and will eventually be treated like the flu, but for the moment I will keep to wearing a mask. I wont be going out to eat so wont need to worry about not having one on.

I think the whole mask issue as been a massive confliction from the start. Firstly they told us there was no need to wear masks at the beginning of the pandemic. Then you must wear them in shops however under the guidelines people who work in shops do not need to wear them. There is also the issue of not wearing them if you have a medical condition it is a mess!
