It could be something they found in your blood test perhaps. A c-reactive protein test measures the level of c-reactive protein (CRP) in your blood. That protein is produced by the liver. It reacts in your bloodstream in response to inflammation. Us with Rheumatoid Arthritis get this test often. They could have also run a Rheumatoid factor test and your markers may have been high.
