Thank you sassy he was 63 so not old either and went beyond the timeline given by his consultant by 2yrs which was amazing in itself ,but totally unexpected as he was doing so well life is volatile when you have lung conditions it's out of your control x

Yes thanks. Gary healing well after big OP. I've just got over yet another chest infection but feeling great now. They are usually great at treating prostate surprising how many suffer with it but it can be managed. Hopefully this is the case for Pete.Indoors today as absolutely Baltic cold here.will catch up on a few jobs that need doing. I've been saying that for the past 2hrs but havent started yet lol .🤣🤣

Take care love to both xxSheila 💕⚘🤞

Pleased to hear Gary is healing well and you’re feeling better too. I’m hoping the tablets work well for Pete, remaining positive. Chilly here but nice and sunny. Just had shopping delivered. Jobs can wait I’m sure, see how you feel😀

Love to you and family, Carole xxx🥰🤗💕

Sorry to hear of your loss. Mesothelioma is a dreadful form of cancer, no treatment other than slowing down its progress. A month after we`d had a fab holiday in Portugal, me, my two sisters and spouses, had a call to say brother-in-law was diagnosed with Mesothelioma and he had 12 months to live. With good care, he survived 13 months, not very long for someone who was in general good health. He`d worked with asbestos 50 years earlier as an apprentice, and the rubbish had stayed in his lungs all that time without any problem. You have to live each day as it comes. None of us know what is around the corner. Have a good day everybody, Chris.

Exactly the same scenario of my friend asbestos as an aprentice

LissacFrance profile image
LissacFrance in reply to B0xermad

At least in the UK, compensation claims for this type of disease are settled very quickly and he was able to sign off the claim before he died. At least my sister did not have to go through an inquest procedure.

B0xermad profile image
B0xermad in reply to LissacFrance

That's a comfort for her

LissacFrance profile image
LissacFrance

The comfort did not last anywhere near long enough. Her son died 2 years later with brain cancer, and she herself 18 months ago with liver cancer. Not a happy series at all.
