Are you on oxygen.

Try breathing in through your nose out through your mouth knock and slowly that might help also humid weather dosent help. Have a word with respertory nurse they may be able to help. Take care

Do you have a respiratory nurse to ask? Also you could ask your Gp to refer you for a pulmonary rehab programme when they start up again , they go through everything and advise you re helpful exercise.

BLF also have brilliant information re breathing exercise.

There are many gadgets on I.e amazon etc to use for bringing up sputum I.e acapella device, flutter or deep breathing exercise device.

I use the flutter mucus clearance device if I start getting congested/ a build up.

I also have a device for breathing exercise it’s like plastic tubes with little balls in , you exhale through a tube to see how high you can get the balls. It’s a Wonder Care Deep Breathing Exerciser.

It’s important to keep the mucus at bay with bronchiectasis to stop it building up and becoming infected. You may want to look up pursed lip breathing to see if that helps to recover from breathlessness and talk to your Dr if this is a regular occurrence. Cx

I take NAC natural supplement twice daily to bring my mucus up and stops it from getting thick.

carbocisteine, drink plenty of water and practise this twice daily:

The links on your last post include the information you are requesting, certainly with regard to lung clearance.

Good luck

When I get very breathless, I turn my fan on full blast. I don’t know why it helps but it does - also good when weather humid or very hot.

Also respiratory nurse said buy a cheap handheld battery fan. I haven’t done that but she said it helps.

I also find. Breath in - count to three-breathe out helps. It gives the lungs a bigger timeframe to exchange the oxygen and co2.

Best wishes jo

Try breathing exercises at least twice daily. Quite a few on YouTube. There is a particular one that I like. Yoga Breathing/ Alternate Nostril Breathing with Adrienne. I watch her on TV while doing it.
