It took me a long time to get over pneumonia few years ago mommolou, weeks and weeks. The pain you are getting could be related to you sitting/lying differently trying to make yourself comfortable, but always best to be sure and see your gp as chell says. Sadie xx

Evening

It took me 3 months to get over Pneumonia, the pain is probably pleuritic pain but you should get advice from your GP.

Hi I get pains regularly across my shoulder blades but have recently found mine is caused by tension. Remembering to relax the shoulders when having difficulty breathing is not easy it seems and automatic thing to tense up. Last time I saw a respiratory nurse she said I was breathing thro my shoulders! Sue E
