Do any other new users of Trelegy Ellipta experience more difficulty breathing when they transition from the horizontal (ie sleeping ) to the vertical position. This has occurred since I was taken off Trimbow and prescibed Trelegy Ellipta. After half an hour or so, the extra tightness in my chest has dissipated and I'm , sort of , back to pre Trelegy days. Going to see what I feel like after a months trial. It will have to be good, as I have just read through the side effects etc that it has. Quite frightening. If the Doctor had mentioned the list of effects, which is a mile long, I'm not sure I would have changed. Have to give it the full month though, or it will be a waste of NHS funds. £44.50 for a months supply is not cheap. Look forward to hearing the views of any other Trelegy users.

Yes I have been on trelergy for over year now and no side affects whatever I am very happy with it but everybody is different hope you can get it sorted out
Just remember we are not all the same. I have COPD and Asthma.
I was put on that last April and it didn't agree with me and i ended up in hospital. My breathing got so bad i went back on Relvar. I go to see the COPD specialist and his team on a regular basis now. I have Respimat Spiriva and Fostair now and they are ok.
Hi I couldn’t get on at all with trelegy tried it for a few months I am now on trimbow which for me is better
I've been on Trelegy for 2 years now. Had various medication for Asthma all my life. 77 now. Was put on to Trelogy when got COPD.
Touch wood no side effects. I usually get side affects with tablets. On Carbocistine and ok with them.
Hope this helps
Take care
I have been on Trelegy for a couple of years now with no side effects at all. If you take too much notice of the possible side effects on the sheet inside the box you would never take any medication!
Hi there I was put on Trelegy and have had some quite bad reactions to it I have got a problem with one of my eyes and it didnt seem to help my breathing at all, I did try it for 2 months but had to phone the nurse to come off of it, she then put me on Relvar and that was no better for me, so I told her I was putting my self back on Symbicort, braitus and ventolin she wasnt very happy but I am back to how I was except for my eye which I will find out about tomorrow as I am shielding the optician is coming round my home I will update you when I have seen him, but I havent spoken to the nurse since I went back on my previous medicinge I just spoke to the prescription lady at the surgery, I normally see the doctor this is the first time I have seen the nurse with not much luck good luck hopefully it will work for you.
I've been on Trelergy for a month and find it quite useless for me. I was on Trimbow and wasn't impressed with that either. Now going back to Fostair and Braitus.. See what happens next eh?
First of all, resolve whether the symptom is from COPD or from the drug. It is quite common that the supine and lean position symptoms differ when COPD bronchitis is present.
Even though both Trimbow and Trelegy Ellipta contain ICS, LABA and LAMA, their proportion varies. I guess the higher ICS in Trimbow is good when you have an asthma component. Less ICS and more LABA and LAMA in Trelegy Ellipta is good for COPD but less effective in asthma rescue. So measuring the asthma component (recoverable fev1) by measuring pre and post ICS bronchodilator response may give you an idea which is suitable for you and when to use which medication.
These drugs have an effect on the heart too. Careful if you have heart conditions.
Hi Maverick2, just going on the fact that this has only started since commencing on Trelegy. This is only my eleventh day on Trelegy, and it takes time to settle down. Will give it the month and post my findings. Cheers for all the replies, very helpful. Take care and stay safe.
