Doctor has changed my inhaler my consultant has decided he wants me to try something different. He wants me to try Trelogy Ellipta I always worry about change. How quickly does it work. Someone at the clinic says gets to work quickly. I'm worried I will come off original inhaler and I will struggle to breathe. Should I bite the bullet and start using Ellipta Tomorrow already done todays meds (not Ellipta).doctor and consultant say I shouldn't have any problems. What should I do .

Any one New to Trelogy Ellipta
After my bad experience with Fostair I've been frightening by new inhalers. But, after sitting looking at them for a few days I gave them a go. When I'm starting on something new I take it in the morning, then I feel if I reacted adversely there'd be someone (friend, nurse, relative) I could talk to, rather than late in the evening when everyone has gone to bed. If you still have your old inhalers you can keep them as a safety blanket so to speak, so if you can't breathe with the new inhaler you can use the old one until you can get back to see your doctor. Good luck to you 🤞
Though I should add I've never had Elipta and I should have clarified that, sorry.
You are like me spacecat1 I just st a red my terlery elliptic,a i was on encrust and seretide and nurse wanted to try me on it just received it yesterday and started on it this morning but have kept a couple of my other ones just in case I will let you know how I get on
I did do a repeat prescriptions just in case. I have told hubby I will start tomorrow
Been on it a few months with no problems at all. Suits me as I used to take 2 inhalers before, Relvar Ellipta and Incruise Ellipta. Cheaper for the NHS as well. Good idea to keep old ones handy in case it doesn't suit you. Good luck!
I've been taking it a few months, finding it ok though would prefer a better delivery system. Seems to be doing the job and rather one than three separate.
Make sure you rinse your mouth well after taking it.
My doctor gave me this with in a week I could not breathe went back on to the old ones and breathing better in a couple of days dosnt suit everyone but give it a go you’ll know if it’s better
I had exactly the same problem, really awful, had to take 2 months of steroid tablets! (only 3 hours sleep a night for me!) He is going to put me on another inhaler with a spacer. Fingers crossed it will work
I was on the zonda inhaler. Changed to ellipter anoro, still it’s so early days for me.
Seems ok but yes definitely rinse mouth, i have ventolin inhaler too.
