Hi I'm having a video consultation tommorow Monday 6thJuly
Last year in March I was diagnosed with ILD had all the various scans tests ect last saw my consultant September 2019 was due again to see him and have more tests in March 2020 but because of the virus this was cancelled after several cancelled test for April May June they have decided to give me a video appointment for Monday 6th July .I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this ,is there any point to it as there hasn't been any tests done as to my breathing capabilities ect . What can they gleam from a face to face by video link that a quick phone called could not have achieved .Has anyone benifited from this kind of consultation or am I just in a negative mood and should think myself lucky I'm getting this

After having a zoom consultation with the surgeon for my shoulder op, I was very impressed and it was much better than a phone call. Hope it all went well for you x
I saw your other post before I saw this one, and am glad I found it. In January (so, long before the coronavirus situation happened) I was due to have a consultation by phone for my breathing and I too couldn't see the point of it, so it's good to read the replies to your post. In the end I did get a face to face appointment but it could easily have been done over the phone as I pretty much just sat there answering questions. It is reassuring to know it can be done just as well by phone or even better by video.
Hi kakariki I had mine on monday also with respiratory consultant via video he said oh you look well ,how are you feeling and upped my azithromycin to 500mg send me a sputum sample and that was it .
BOxermad not good is it just feels as if there ticking boxes not very inspiring when we've got an illness that's not going to mend in a couple of months only deteriorating as time passes. It's a good job you didn't look I'll or he would have increased it to a 1000mg
