As of June 8, 2020, the global reported number of COVID-19 cases had reached more than 7 million with over 400 000 deaths. The household transmissibility of the causative pathogen, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), remains unclear. We aimed to estimate the secondary attack rate of SARS-CoV-2 among household and non-household close contacts in Guangzhou, China, using a statistical transmission model.

Its a worry, I saw on the news last night the Chinese minister of health I think he was, saying they are not able to get the virus under control in Beijing as quickly as they would like and he warned everyone really need to take this virus very seriously as it will kill.

I really think all countries need to stay in lockdown until we are well and truly on top of this virus, allowing international travel regardless of requirement to quarantine really is no guarantee as there are always those who will not adhere. We can't even get our own people to stay safe distance, it will just be bedlam again unless everyone does take this virus seriously.

The government is risking “many unnecessary deaths” by lifting lockdown before an effective system is in place to track coronavirus sufferers, an influential group of scientists has warned.

The Independent Sage group said that the NHS Test and Trace system introduced by Boris Johnson is “not fit for purpose”.

The experts also warned that the prime minister’s current programme of relaxation of restrictions is “premature” while evidence suggests that the Covid-19 pandemic is still growing in some parts of the country and a resurgence of the disease is being reported in China, Germany and South Korea.

I think there is great concern for the economy with lockdown continuing and for peoples mental health. I also saw on the news last night the restaurateur in Italy and generally the people of Italy need some sort of return to normality, she also said their ruling was keeping tables outside 1 metre apart which she was doing, but she said if can't have some income she will not survive a 2nd wave, people drawn between two difficulties.

Its a really difficult situation and difficult decisions to be made. Either way our government is bound to be criticised, and even if another lockdown was enforced forthwith there will still be those disregarding the rules, another catch 22. + from what I can gather some in UK are just not coping with the restrictions already current.
