Trapped Sputum after lung clearances

I have severe Brochiectasis. After each 45 minute session (3 times a times)I still get mucus that is trapped so I keep trying to clear my lungs. It's a real problem. Could I also have COPD and/or Emphasemia?

Hi skipwork, only your doctor can tell you if you have COPD. Nobody on here is qualified to do that I’m afraid.

This has happened to me and after some research it appeared that the eye drops i was using could increase mucus production in the lungs. Changed onto different drops and so far, cross fingers, no problem. Are you taking other drugs that could interfere with your lungs?

Also do you need a course of antibiotics? My consultant has said take them for 3 or even 4 weeks if necessary.
