Hi all, I had another chest infection three weeks ago. Steroids and antibiotics. The last week I have a irritable cough, I feel it is pollen related rather than infection. I started steroids to try and calm things down. But husband is now annoying me by saying something is wrong. Has anyone else been affected by hayfever symptoms, pollen?
Thanks

Yes, the pollen count has been exceptionally high for the time of year. It seems to have started a lot earlier than usual and we have had a lot of dry weather meaning the pollens have not been washed away. Now that the weather has changed that should change things, temporarily at least.
NHS
Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has any of the following:
a high temperature
a new, continuous cough
a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
Do you have anyone making/ selling LOCAL honey near you? It’s good Re hay fever and dry throats. I have it in hot water each night from when the weather starts to get nice. Also when my throat gets hoarse due to the inhalers and gerd. It really is brilliant stuff for all sorts and I swear by it. I buy one that’s made as near to me as possible so I don’t suffer then with local pollen.
If your worried your cough is getting worse ( or leading to chest infection )you could contact your doctors surgery or 111 online if any other CV symptoms.
