My shield is definitely getting a bit rusty. I'm still being sensible but I'm not fanatical about it. It seems to me that being able to shield at all is something of a privilege. How many of us would be doing it if we didn't have gas, electricity, clean water, the internet and yes, eventually supermarket deliveries ? We have these things because of the many people who have carried on working throughout. Perhaps I've been a bit more aware of this as almost all my family have carried on working and frankly, some of them could do with a holiday. So, I just get a bit frustrated with the everybody should - bolt- their - doors- and- never- leave- home attitude. Yes, shield if you're vulnerable, but be aware it's not an option for most. I shall now climb off my soapbox.

Well the astronauts have just docked with the space station but are refusing to go inside, prefering to await an online delivery slot from sainsbury which contains various swabs and testing kits, you can't be too safe they said as the guys inside there haven't been tested yet. x
Theoretically I have no need to shield but have done so to protect Pete. I’m the one who’s in no rush to change things but we will have to emerge at some point I suppose. Shielding is for the very vulnerable but I feel for those who have to work regardless.
Our son is a police officer so no furloughing for him and our son-in- law returns to work tomorrow. I just hope my family and everyone’s stay safe and well. Take care Angelagone xx😘
It's a continual worry isn't it with your family ? I have a niece and great nephew who work in their small local hospital. Nieces husband is a plumber working on some big job in Swansea. Eldest daughters partner is a primary head working in a hub which has just closed due to one of the teachers testing positive. Thankfully, eldest daughter working from home. Youngest daughters partner is largely self employed so has had to carry on working....at least I dont have to worry about Pete, I think it would be a brave virus that tackled Sassy ! May we all stay as safe and well as is possible. Xxox
My husband has no need to shield but he is protecting me. He never goes out of the house or garden whereas I go for a long walk each morning which I justify to him and myself as being for health reasons. Walking is good for the chest: I managed to squeeze in a partial knee replacement just before lockdown and it needs exercise, and most of all my mental well being.
Yes that’s what I’m doing too, protecting Pete. I’d rather be at home with him than anywhere else. Your husband is doing the right thing as are you for your exercise and mental wellbeing.
Stay safe and well xxx👍💕❤️💝🌈
Yes, we each know our own medical situation the best dont we and what works for us ? Hope all goes well with the knee.
