Amazon Shopping Delivery

Hi, I'm not sure if people already know this but if anyone is struggling to get a delivery slot as I'm sure you are. I noticed that Amazon is now doing a food delivery called Amazon Fresh, you need to spend a minimum of £40. Hope this helps.

I'll go on line and check this out. Sounds useful. Thanks Teresa.

😀

I saw that the co op are doing deliveries when I looked at their website the other day and there were plenty of slots available on different days so they are worth a try.

Tried over past weeks to use amazon fresh. Unable to get delivery slot! Very frustrating.

Morrison’s also have a second delivery scheme run for a basics box which maybe useful for those that can’t get the ordinary delivery slots. I don’t know anymore details I’m afraid I just saw it advertised on Facebook.

Hello, unfortunately I think that’s only available in a few places so far but they were rolling it out everywhere so they might do that more quickly now, so maybe it’s worth checking every so often if at first it’s unavailable.

only in London area I think at the moment

Many thanks Teresa297, I had a look the other day but did not check delivery delays. The post office & Ups are the main deliverers and the normal 3day deliveries can take 10 days to be expected.

Ok I wouldn’t mind waiting 10 days as it’s so hard to get any deliveries

I live in the states and most grocery stores (including Wal-Mart) provide curb side service. You order online and they give you a time and date to pick it up by driving to the entrance and they put the items in your car.

Some stores will even deliver to your home.

But, in both cases, it may take up to 3-4 days before delivery/pick up.

Either my husband or I will still go to the grocery store, but most stores will only allow a certain number of people in the store at one time. We try to go at off hours and certain days (no weekends). We always wear a mask and use hand sanitizer after.

Stay healthy, Beth

We live on the outskirt of a small city. So the population density is not high, so grocery store are able to provide more services. In areas such as New York City, Chicago, etc., where the population per square mile is high, there is more food shortages and less or longer wait services.

I feel fortunate living in a less dense state (Iowa). It's in the middle of the country and is farm land. They refer to Iowa as the 'Fly over state" because you fly over the state to get to the East or West coast and not a state to visit or live.
