Medical muddle

So, I decide to phone doctor, if only to satisfy daughter, who seems to have become a bit obsessed. I am caller number 11. Settle down to long wait enlivened by loud music, information about sickness and diarrhoea and complicated instructions about what to do if I think I've got the virus. I am caller number 8 , then mysteriously caller number 2. This always happens but what has happened to callers 7,6,5,4 and 3 ? Lost the will to live ? Died of old age ? Just got fed up ? I am through to receptionist and explain myself. Letter ? What letter ? Explain about letter. Oh, that letter, they are still going out. Yes, but am I going to get one ? She asks my d.o.b and I am back to sickness and diarrhoea. I am a bit puzzled what she is doing with d.o.b as hasn't asked who I am? She is back ( sounds about 12 ) and asks my name. Back to sickness and diarrhoea again. Have just about decided to give up when is back again, repeats that letters still going out. Yes, I know but am I going to get one ? Oh! She doesnt know ! But has put query by my name. And there you have it, am no wiser than before, but now curious about sickness plague. Have unworthy thought that I hope is all those hoarders eating out of date food. With apologies for very long text...

Your daughter sounds like ours but we’re no further forward either. I think they can keep their letter and I’ll look after Pete.

Probably just me being paranoid but still suspicious of The List. But , as you know, daughters must be obeyed . Stay well, both of you.

Still good to know that if you get the s ***s you are now a medical expert on dealing with it and will go to No 1 in the queue next time when you ask for a prescription.

They will probably deny all knowledge of prescriptions ....never heard of such a thing !

I know it shouldn’t but you description of your phone call made me chuckle - been there etc. At least you know about sickness and diarrhoea. Did you also find out you can use online, order prescriptions and please hold the line, staff are busy dealing with other patients at the moment bla bla bla. At least they don’t value your custom but thank you for your patience anyway. Grrrrr!

They definitely dont value my custom. I am probably on some sort of list...😂
