Only if your copd is severe

Thank-you for that link I do not know how I missed it. I do fall into the high risk category in relation to copd.

I hadn't seen the link either, well I tried opening it the other day but it didn't work, anyway I see it now and I seem to come into that category on two counts which I'm surprised about. I didn't get a text though, so maybe we have to meet several criteria 🤔

Are there several lists and several categories? I'm confused now. I guess until I get back I don't need to worry too much, I'm isolated here anyway 🏔️

I am not severe by the gold standard. However due to having two infections which required antibiotics and steroids that puts me in the high risk group.

Hello Llegkt1. They have said this morning at 9 o clock on the news that text messages to those who are most at risk and should isolate have just started being sent out. So should hear soon. I know i will get 1. But not had it yet. Keep well Brian

Have you registered as a extremely vulnerable person on gov.uk website it's for people like yourself who are stuck... And can't go out for supplies... Here is the link my friend....

gov.uk/government/publicati...

Just copy and paste it... Hopefully they can help you... And also try reaching out in your local area... A lot of areas have set up Facebook groups to help people like us... Stay safe and keep in touch let me know how you get on please... 😊

I am 60 and have mild COPD and received a text yesterday. I work full-time (not at the moment as not a key-worker) and the text states I need to be off for 12 weeks. I also have a rescue pack from the surgery which I asked for.

I got my text yesterday afternoon, so today is my first day off work. I thought I was moderate but then again I've been getting recurrent chest infections one being pseudomonas.. Plus immunosuppressed for Lupus. I live alone and trying to stay positive while arranging meds etc. Stay safe x

I guess because you've had infections that I assume you were treated for with steroids and antibiotics and that you are on immunosupressants that they have classed you as extremely vulnerable... Stay safe... X

Hi, Unless the COPD is at a high level or you have other illness you shouldn't get the letter, only those that are considered high risk which you don't seem to be.

Keep well & safe.
