I don't mind change but not like this, can't see what I am doing or where I am going and no daily email. Not for me anymore I think. I wonder how many more feel the same. Keep smiling. Carole x

No, no, no, (even title was not long enough)
Hi Carole, there do seem to be some changes to the new layout that don't appear at first try to enhance the visiting experience. I shall be staying with it as I would miss the sense of community, advice and humour too much. I hope you stick with it too. xx
Personally I do not like it as it is I will however give HU time to sort it out first. I know from a lot of people they are having huge problems getting in then staying in or posting replies etc. This is not good for people with chronic illness as people are getting stressed out over it.
I do not understand why they did'nt do a test run before releasing it.
At present there is no change either just an awful lot of problems as far as we can see.
Sadly at present a lot of people are not able to use the site and I worry for those who live alone and rely on this for company especially those with late stage lung disease dissapointing but will hang in there though
Love Julie xx x xx
yes,i agree, not everyone is able to sort this out, hope people get help, it will be sad to see people go just because of this, i found it easier today than yesterday but still prefer the old way, dont think hu have considered about people not being able to access, like you i worry about those on there own that will loose this site, probably the only place they can go for friendship and reassurance help on a daily basis, hope that members that a fb friends notice when someone is missing and try to help them xx
hi carole, i felt the same yesterday, please persevere it does get easier , give a shout if you need any help, i, m not getting daily email either yet, but think i will when things are running a bit smoother , take care xx
I agree that this change is being done in a very unprofessional manner with little or no prior testing and what feels like a chaotic timetable.
As an iPad user, the forum is extremely difficult to use, and even on my husband's laptop it is full of problems and constant error pages.
The overview is very poor, and that bothers me a lot as someone who always likes a nice global overview of things first.
Considering the nature of the website, ie, for people who are ill, some extremely seriously, I think they should have provided us with a much smoother change, with a thoroughly pre-tested forum where everything is CLEAR.
Having to puzzle out how to even see the posts in a thread is disappointing and stressful.
Having said that, I believe that they are working on it and hope that the bugs will be resolved.
The main thing I hope is that there aren't extremely ill people out there who used HU as a life line and who are now isolated through not being able to navigate this chaotic new set up. I find that quite upsetting actually.

Hello Carole
Please don't leave the site. Like you, I'm having problems but have managed to log in (I'm quite proud of myself).
I cannot see that there is anything extra on the site (ie - different blogs for medical matters and for non-medical matters) but I'm sure that the clever computer people will sort things out. It must be very difficult for the computer buffs to get to grips with such a big site.
I think that the 'News Feeds' are just for information - I cannot click on anything in the News Feeds and get into the discussion. I have found, however, that if I click on 'Communities' (on the green strip at the top of the page and click on 'British Lung Foundation' then' it brings up 'Blogs', 'Questions' etc and I can get into the discussions that way).
I'm sure that once we have used the improved site a few times (about 50 times in my case) we will get to grips with it.
Don't give up Carole.
Love and hugs

Perseverance must be our watchword, Carole, that and reporting any glitch we find. It is frustrating, but give it time.
I also agree with others on people who may be isolated during this time, and only hope they are well, and taking care of themselves.
Stick with it Carole, it's like everything, it just takes a while to get used to. I may have missed it, but I would have thought a USER GUIDE displayed prominently may have assisted people with this changeover.
Take care

I am going to hang on in here can't be without the site it helps me so much and I do hope I have a bit of information to help others sometime.
polly xx
Please give us a chance to iron things out - we promise it is not our intention to cause deliberate frustration to anyone. In a few hours we'll have at least some of the issues worked out and continue to work on the others.
Thank you
Many thanks for the update, & recognising users are experiencing some frustration. Best wishes to you & your team for a quick return to business as normal. Judy x
Hi Pepa
It is great to hear that the problems are being worked on.
Thank you
You are doing a great job Pepa. x
I've never thought of myself as patient, neither has anyone else to put it mildly but I'm just easing on by. Using an iPad so some could be that, as yet unresolved issues, operator error all kinds o' things, time'll tell - it'll be OK.
Chris
I'm sure things will get sorted over the next few days. It is such a complex business that it would be amazing if there were no glitches.
I'm sure testing was done, but its the real environment that really tests new systems.

I think HU have us by the short and ...... They know how much we all depend on this site. Where else could I pull all these women? So I guess I will have to stay.
Love to all

It seems Internet Explorer is now obsolete or so I'm being told. Funny that, it works everywhere else. I'm close to giving up and joining Gordon in the pub.
Oh!. Maybe not. It's let me post using Firefox. Still I think tomorrow will be spent watching the Test Match and Fish O'Mania. Heaven.
Now where's my daily email?
I am struggling too, maybe an age thing. I can only get in my googling blf which comes up ok but I then have to search for member (me) to be able to sign in. Earlier I ended up on news feed showing only peoples responses. What am I doing wrong?
Well I came back today, yesterday I clicked keep me logged in but still had to go through the whole process again. I am using my tablet and when I have the keyboard up there is only space to see two lines of typing! And still no daily email nor notifications of comments on ones blog. If they had to have a change it should have been trialled first after all they trial drugs, treatments and road layouts and this is just as important to some of us as that. Going back to Scrabble with Ros, at least it didn't even take a day to get used to the new site when they changed it a couple of weeks ago! Keep smiling (maybe)
