An exhausted nurse has urged panic-buyers to think about other people after finding supermarket shelves empty.
Dawn Bilbrough, from York, said people should stop and think that NHS staff like her could be looking after them - and need to stay healthy to carry out their task.
The critical care nurse, who has been working in West Yorkshire, urged people to stop and leave goods for everyone.

Ugh this me me me attitude makes me sick. Blame the lady who coined the phrase “There is no such thing as society... people must look after themselves first” Yep, Mrs T’s got a lot to answer for!
Maybe we could see that basic stuff was taken to our local hospitals for the use of the staff, could talk to the local Age UK/Church about what volunteers might be available to take donations and purchase stuff and deliver this. Also we do need to remember to keep the local Food Banks stocked.
Food Banks have closed until further notice, they will have to rethink how they are going to continue. No crowds, no serving of hot food, I am sure they will think of something. Hospital Staff will have to arrange like the rest of us to have food delivered but I agree they should all get priority under the circumstances.
What need to be shut down is panic buying and shop keepers and supermarkets have the power to do that, they also need to sort out the demand for home deliveries, more delivery vehicles, drivers, better organisation better rules to safe guard people, ie distancing, click and collect with time slots etc to avoid jam ups and crowding.
Agreed. I have been trying to get hold of the calpol tabs without any luck as my 22 year old daughter, currently stuck in London, is unable to take any other pain killer without throwing up. She also cannot get hold of toilet paper because of the selfishness of others and now she is on her last roll. She is a student stuck in a small apartment with little money and no way to keep the place hygienic. People, please allow those of us that need them to get hold of essentials!
Yesterday I had to spend an absolute fortune on quite a small amount of items as the supermarket had clearly put up the prices of many items in light of the panic buying. Profiteering out of peoples fear is also selfish, inconsiderate and morally disgusting, especially since it will cause more problems for those of us living on disability and those on low wages.
I think now the pubs and clubs are closed, maybe they will focus on booze in the supermarkets and leave loo rolls, eggs, bread and antiseptic wipes alone. I wouldn't be surprised if they start fighting over the last can of lager instead of punching an older man over a kitchen roll.
Its utter madness, there is only this shortage because people are panic buying it needs to stop, perhaps those who do it just don't have the capacity to comprehend that and so its up to the supermarkets shops to enforce - NO Panic buying. It comes to something when police resources need to be used to advise and enforce - jees what manner of people are we sharing the planet with.
Perhaps people is too polite a word for these thick, stupid, selfish morons who care about no one but themselves. They either don't care or appreciate the hardship they are causing other people. As a result many people in vulnerable groups are going from shop to shop looking for essential items putting themselves at greater risk.
I think if push comes to shove I shall be pestering the hell out of Age UK and the likes. There are groups on Face Book for those that can access it where communities are helping each other, advising who has what in stock in the area, who can share anything, people who are offering to shop for any one locally.
I guess a lot of the problem at this time is none of us were prepared for it.
