Hi their saying to parents to keep their children away from their grandparents because children can be carriers of the virus.. But what if the children and their parents live with them. My two young grand children age 5 & 3 and their mother live with me.i have copd and Asthma..

Precisely. Yet they say that bigger classes are going to be allowed, greater crowding together, creating more opportunity to spread the virus. These are our leaders, they could not lead a thirsty horse to water. When this mess is over I hope they are brought to book over their total incompetence and handling the situation.

Get real @2greys, can you think of anyone who would have done better. Better to concentrate on getting through all this rather than another election or Nuremberg trials 2.

Yes, they could have done an awful lot better. They have flown directly in opposition of the World Health Organisation advice with their "we know better" attitude, still going against the advice of 200 professional scientists, yes do I hope they are brought to book for their mishandling of the situation.

I said nothing about "Nuremberg trials 2". What I can see is a parliamentary vote of no confidence forcing a premiership election though.

Don, Johnson has been the butt of criticism from scientists and medics around the world and the WHO. He is only now, because of this, doing a U-turn to put more stringent policies in place. He talks about science but his scientists are only behavioural scientists, who are getting their theories from the infamous nudge theory that David Cameron employed. We need a bit more than nudging.

We need politicians of the calibre of those we had 50 years ago and we don't have an,y which is why I keep out of politics. Which incidently I thought his group did.

Come off it Don since when has this health emergency been political, this all about failing health policies only. Boris could easily turn this all around and he could be a hero, with successful policies and it would still not be political, even then.

There is or has been no spouting of Labour, LibDems or even the Green Party could do better. It is all just about policy.

The thing to bear in mind through all this, is that children are likely to get just mildly ill whereas with oldies it is more likely much more serious . Thank God (if there is one) that it isn't the other way around! 🙂

It is also a fact that by only getting mild symptoms does not mean that they are not going to spread it to adults and even vulnerable adults with deadly consequences whilst, thankfully, easily surviving it themselves. That is the point, greater spread.

Hi, just keep up hand washing and all hygiene measures. Kids at school are learning lots about hand washing. Stay as safe as you can. Xxxx

One of our grandchildren was washing her hands at ours last week and was counting as doing. It now takes the family a long while to get out but at least she has listened and is following instructions given by school x

I saw my grandchildren 9 days ago and felt ill two days after with my breathing - got antibiotics and they worked - you cannot avoid this but keep yourself safe with hand washing etc x
