We went to the local theatre to see Barnum by our local Youth Opera Society. Made it a family outing with the great grandchildren. Everyone enjoyed, it was a lively performance and the children enjoyed their night out. It was a full house and lots of funds raised for the theatre and the youth opera charity. Nice to see some things coming back to normal after the pandemic.

Something nice for a change
How lovely that you had such a good time and went to such a great show. I am off to the RSC tomorrow with my daughter. Dinner first in the theatre and then a dose of Rebellion. As you say, great to think that some things are coming back to normal.
Have fun Littlepom. Xxx❤️
How lovely Katie and so pleased you had a good time. Nice to have some normality as you say. Xxx
Sounds like you had a lovely time.
Glad to hear that you had such a nice outing Katie. I hope that you feel better for it x
That sounds like a lovely evening 😊
Glad you had such a great time! I went to a live music gig last week, first since Nov 2019. It’s great to get out again isn’t it? But it’s a calculated risk & I felt quite vulnerable, because hardly anyone else wore a mask. I just don’t get it x
Hi Hanne62, I had a mask in my bag but no one was wearing one, of course I am not obliged to wear one but feel it would be safer as the immunity from injections starts to wain after six months and it is over six months since my last injection. Down side of the night we were at the front and getting the full blast of the stage smoke so my cough is bad again I am used to my daughter booking front row and fortunately not all shows use the haze. Can't be good for those on stage either. Don't see the need for it myself.
There’s still a lot of covid about, 1 in 20 people in England are infected according to ONS figures, so I intend wearing a mask for a long time yet (possibly forever, during winter anyway!) Agree with you about the haze! I always try & get seats about 10 rows back, and hope no one tall sits in front of me 😊 I hope your cough improves soon x
Yes Hanne62 , it is still one in 20 so in the theatre that could be quite a few people at least two in every row in theory. Funny that I usually go for row J or further back. J is about half way in both our local theatre's or ten rows from the stage. My cough is still around today but that's the dry sunny weather not good for all is it ? Tomorrow I will do a lateral flow test, make sure I am clear for the blood test next week. Fortunately my clinical review will be by phone. Very busy week coming up stay safe and take care
That's lovely Katie, a double whammy of a night out AND spending time with family 👪
Yay!! Sounds lovely Katie. I think I shall also start venturing out to some musicals , recitals etc. I am so pleased you had a good time. xx 🎶
Good for you Katie and so glad you enjoyed it with family, we really need to get back to normal, its good for the soul x
Sounds lovely Katie. Glad you enjoyed it x
Sounds lovely. I've watched bits of it on YouTube, with Michael Crawford. Must be years old as MC looks quite young ! Hope your cough soon improves.
So glad you enjoyed it. xxx
I usually phone the theatre and ask if there is any smoking on stage. I then explain my lung problems. I was told that no ,there wouldn't be any smoking. My daughter took me to a tribute show which was depicting the Dubliners (all heavy smokers We were reassured again re the "no smoking".However, they had replaced it with vaping.I find the fumes from that equally troublesome .We had splashed out for front seats and I was less than pleased when we had to move upstairs to get away from it!😒
