Me too when one of our cats-Ginger- and probably not her real name as she adopted us- decided that the best place to sleep was on my pillow. Sadly not with us anymore however in cat heaven ๐
Awh๐ Good afternoon Mr.D and how good was that rhyme. I always read them out loud and 99% of the time, our Hazel๐ถ is asleep on my bed too. She does the same as Midge ..... she stretches out and takes up more space than me. She must of understood my recital as she rolled over, tucked all 4 legs in and made enough room for me and a few other......๐ฟ's!! Shame i was dressed and doing my meds, otherwise I'd have been spreading myself into the newly available space๐๐. Great rhyme and i hope Midge knows she's the topic of many a Mr.D. rhyme?๐ฅ๐ฟ๐
Twinkle likes his own bed at night ( think I roll about too much) He has an afternoon nap with me every day and when I get up to make my cup of tea he slides on to the place where I have been lying. ๐
I have a picture in my mind of you and your companion moving around in the bed. Does she like to be under the duvet or on top? My little dog Holly always rested her head on the pillow next to me. When I opened my eyes, sometimes she would be looking straight at me. A bit disconcerting when you are just half awake.
In fact we are very flexible in our bedtime arrangements. Midge has her own armchair were she sleeps rather than a bed . Nine-thirty is her suppertime when she goes out to inspect the garden and ensure we are cat free. She is very precise in her timing, to the minute if not the second. Back in the house she has her Bonio and goes to bed for the night in her chair. I go to bed much later in my own bed (under the current arrangements) and she may or may not follow me at that time. She joins me when it suits her and that's when some dispute can occur. Not always, sometimes she joins me without me being aware of it till next morning, but she is always there when I awake next morning. If she wasn't, I would probably stay in bed all day. ๐
When we are in the campervan, she has her bed and I have mine. We both go to bed and the same time and stay there. ๐
What a lovely relationship you both have. Lots of love, understanding and give and take, that's the secret of a good relationship as you obviously know. Sleep tight tonight.
My mum's dog used to follow her everywhere, even to the loo and went to bed at some ungodly hour most nights (mum that is). During the day the dog would cat nap most of the day but rest assured if mum got up the dog would be wide awake and right behind her. They are just so full of love for their one and only master and cant bear to be without them but get spolit and want all the bed ha!
