Revenge! by Midge ๐Ÿถ

My old man just told me

It's my turn to write a rhyme

This isn't going to be easy

He's been giving me a rough time

I'd just got nice and smelly

Which took me quite a time

When he pops me in the kitchen sink

He says to shift the grime

I'm sure to get pneumonia

And smell of something foul

Wrapped up so I can't get about

In a great big flipping towel

Well I will get my own back

When I'm back out in the yard

I know where to find some fox poo

So sort that out you........bard!

Once Midge realised that she could once again come with me to visit friends, smelling nice with clean ears, brush teeth. clipped claws, we were best friends once again. ๐Ÿ˜

Good morning Mr.D and Midge. If that was your first rhyme Midge then I can see you've either been taught by the best as in Mr D .......... or.......... have you been seeking private tuition when others are asleep? Either way, congratulations are in order 4 your๐ŸŽ‰1st rhyme๐ŸŽŠ!

Midge has become a regular poster, my screen shows a list of them under 'Related Posts' on the right-hand side. I think she's getting a bit above herself, I'll need to watch her. ๐Ÿค”

It's so lovely having such a wonderful companion like Midge. Yes our pets love to roll in all sorts of smelly stuff (polite) eat nasties (polite), but we love them anyway. They give back to us humans something money can't buy. Great poem Don and sums it all up in a nutshell. Fond wishes, Chrys

She keeps me sane, though you wouldn't think so reading some of the stuff I write. ๐Ÿ˜‰x

Do you know many sane poets Don't know any. I think we're all a bit barmy. ๐Ÿ˜

I know better Don. I have had all kinds of animals as pets since I was a very young child. Each one gave me something special and I loved each one in return. I miss having one so much.

Brilliant!

Here's an odd sounding tip for dog walkers. Carry a sachet or three of tomato ketchup. When your dog rolls in fox poo or anything else equally revolting smear the mucky fur with the ketchup. This not only lessens the stink on the way home but makes it easier to wash the poo out.

I was told this years ago, in desperation I tried it. It really works.

The thing that puzzles me though is why the first person to do this wanted to rub tomato ketchup on a poo encrusted dog?

Oh! Another anti smell trick. If you are being stunk out by a neighbourhood tom cat keep a big bottle of the plainest, cheapest washing up liquid handy. Then when you find wear moggy has left his mark (follow your nose and look for oily/damp patches, with run marks down from them, normally about a foot or a little less from the floor.

Soak an old rag and squeeze the excess water out. Put a very generous amount of the washing up liquid on the cloth and smear it over moggy's calling mark. Leave it a good 20 minutes, go back and with a clean cloth and water, rinse well.

All old rags should be now rapped and binned,

Do not be tempted to use bleach or disinfectant until after the washing up liquid. They mix with the tom cat urine and make it worse.

I used to have pets. Mine all died of old age. One of my dogs was a lover of getting smelly. A neighbour had tom cat, she didn't get him castrated.

Some useful tips there Wheezy, thanks. The tomato ketchup one is a bit of a mystery, however did they find that out. Someone careless with a Big Mac maybe. I was told recently about an spray that freezes dog (presumably any other) poo making it easier to pick up. Frostier mornings always make that job much much easier. I bought some but haven't tried it yet.

Midge has much in common with most ten-year-old boys that I know.

HAHAHA๐Ÿ˜‚

Chom can commiserate. I caught him trying to roll in something foul yesterday on our walk. He's just had a bath and so I wouldn't let him. I thought his stare would melt the skin from my face. ๐Ÿ˜‘ xx ๐Ÿ™‹
