I always believe you should always have a window cracked all the time in your house for better breathing for people with COPD

Me to have to have fan on in the bedroom. Hubby has a moan but puts up with it. Lol

I also always have window open especially at night. Think it does help with COPD. Happy breathing. 😀xxx

For me, it would depend on the local air pollution levels, even in the summer.

Pete’s not keen on having a window open at this time of year but I am. I leave the trickle vents open and the blind half open which helps a little. Xxxxx

Yes I open the windows, especially the bedroom and bathroom...my OH not too keen but hey ho that's life.

I check my air purifier results on line , and air quality inside is worse when the window is shut at night, and bedroom door shut too.

We don't need to open our window. The house is draughty enough already, in spite of double glazing. Subsidence has a lot to answer for.

I like mine open too, its a good idea until someone fires up their log burner, theres loads around me.

Even before dx stuffy atmospheres gave me headaches & caused coughing & it’s just the same with Emphysema so I always have windows open all year.

The only exception being during the harvest when there’s so much filth & dust everywhere.

I always had a window open year round, but this year I have been really cold for some reason and my feet just dont get warm, so the window has been closed and am sure this is why I have a dry cough, roll on spring x

Highly recommend good old fashioned bed socks. I sometimes keep them on all day if it's really cold.

Think I’m a bit of a fresh air freak.

My windows are always on vent and bedroom one invariably open to some degree too, no matter what the weather. Only time I seem to close up is if there’s a bitter cold wind coming through.

It sounds good however the outside air quality is imperative for me. Living in Melbourne Australia the smoke and subsequent contaminated air has forced locked down. Those with lung diseases have been in jeopardy. Canberra and Melbourne have had days where air has been worse than Beijing! I have fans, air purifier and Air quality alerts. Today is once again smoky from bushfires to the east. Tomorrow worse with prevailing strong gusty winds up to 100 Kms per hour. Hideous. I’m in hospital doing a clinical trial on breathing aids at the moment, would you believe.

Moto - keep safe and keep alert.

How awful DeeSending, I thought the fires had died down now. Good that you are trialing these aids, it will prove if they are worth buying. Lets hope you weather cools down soon x

I’m in Melbourne and to the east is an area called East Gippsland where fires are still out of control. When the winds come from that area the city gets choked. We are hoping for desperately needed rain next week. Sydney and southern Queensland are now awash with floods. Everything is extreme these days and has been getting more so in the past 10 years. We have lost over 1 million indigenous animals so far this summer and the koala is now on the endangered list. Absolutely tragic what we humans have done.
