Hi, there is no best inhaler as such. We are all different and respond differently to different inhalers. If you feel yours isn't helping ask to see your nurse or GP to discuss other options.

Hi Spacecat1 I'm not sure about best, but I was given fostair and had bad side effects and it wasn't helping my breathing either. I've just been switched to symbicort and I've had no side effects and breathing is easier. Time will tell I guess. Hope you find something which works for you. Someone mentioned spiriva to me as being helpful for them? Good luck

Everyone is different, only you can find out what is best. Go to your doctor. I am on Trimbow which is one of the latest. It helps a bit. I am now waiting to get referred for an assessment for oxygen.

My Consultant changed my Sirdupla inhaler to Fostair. Really bad reaction .my breathing got worse and suffered prolonged panic attacks. Really scary . Stopped the Fostair and went back to Sirdupla no problems now. Heard others have had problems with Fostair. We all react differently but my experience with Fostair was frightening. X Sheila

I use Trelegy Elipta. Take once a day. Have used various kinds of inhalers. Had asthma all my life now COPD

Hope this helps.

Happy New Year.

It is best to ask your doctor. I tried several before i found one that suited me.

Hope you manage to find one that is good for you.

Definitely tell your team about this. I was on eklira which wasn't great then they added symbicort and together they helped but I'm now on Trimbow. There are others you can have so have a chat x

Fostair is cheap, which is why a lot of people are given it first, or transferred to it. But it doesn't suit or work for everyone, which is why there are so many on the market (otherwise Fostair would win hands down on price!). I tried 5 inhalers before I found one which worked without undue side effects; you just need to be patient.

Find it better than Fostair which I was previously on - except that I only take once a day and don't feel it lasts 24hrs. Whereas I took Fostair twice a day - but it gave me serious night cramps.
