Hi Everyone

Thank you so much for all your responses, what a fantastic bunch of people we have on here. Sit rep, I don't have enough breath to use powder inhaler, my inhaler is cfc free, and I think that is when I first noticed a difference, however, having now washed my inhalers, seems to be more effective and working in about 15 minutes. Having had a couple of very scary moments I have purchased an Aero chamber plus so that if I'm really stuck my son can just shove it on my face and give me a quick squirt, which helps me and helps him not to panic. Hope you are all as well as possible considering the weather. Looks like the dreaded winter is upon us. Keep warm and well

Love to all

Patsy 😊💖

Hi Patsyanne,

Look up what the propellant is in the new CFC Free Ventolin and then look up the side effects of the gas.

Patsyann24 glad that seems to have help. I use my spacer all the time, it allows more of the inhaler into your lungs, also easy as don't need a big breath, just normal breathing. I used to find stopped being effective and washed them, really does make a difference. Glad seems to have helped you.

My doctor and nurses recommended that I use a Aero Chamber for all my inhalers and it is so much easier

Hi love. Sorry but rather ill at the moment and even texting is hard. Ok. By aerochamber I presume you mean a spacer chamber. These are available on prescrition, mine are on repeat as many as I want sort of. There are several different patterns available too. Sorry. Very poorly and even writing on here is slow and hard work but, and this is from a very big but, you are definitely on the right track but you may consider taking it to its next very easy stage. Your inhalers, your general lifestyle etc may bring you down. So, please consider these points. I'll probably be back to add as I remember them. Infection control etc. Get handbag or pocket sanitisers, use them constantly. Get the larger sanitisers, one inside every door and in bathroom and kitchen etc. Control entry. Make family and friends aware that if they feel they have a bug or something, they stay in touch but dont visit until they are bette...bugs are your downfall. Love visits but dont want bugs. Keep away from public areas and any aircinditioning. When that is running, it pulls air in, scrubs it, changes it temp and then lumps it back. Fatal to us folk so busy journeys are a definite no, no.

Back to inhalers. Ventolin. I find it becomes sort of ineffective when you use it because it's now a combi drug ,seretide or something. Also, with an infection, it becomes super lethal. So, when your ean your applied part, take it off, drop it into boiling water without the cylinder, and keep it submerged. If you have something like Milton's, even better. Next session of inhalers due, drop the old blue plastic part into either boiling water and give the clean one a good shake, insert cartridge and take meds as normal.now ever time you medicate, you are nt reintroducing germs. Works so well. My other inhalers have changed recently so now have to see if they can be stabilised but ventolin hasn't.

Same with other inhalers.

Hand bags, shopping bags. Handbags, go everywhere so spend time on the ground I the toilet, in the bar. On carpet that someone has walked over after walking on dog muck, pavement pizza( bomit) etc, so when you get home, dont put it on the kitchen table, sanitise it.

Bugs dont stay long on shiny objects, metal etc but fabric they love. So avoid using pockets on trouser s or handles, etc.

What do you do when you cough up a load of mucus,? Be embarrassed? No, you have to change your thinking. Its needs gone but if you use a tissue, it never breaks free cleanly, embarrassing and full of germs. From now on, I'm afraid, you have to swallow it. Eeeiuk. Hold on a mo. Its recommended

. If you get it out into a tissue or hanky it's free to multiply and spread. Getting it down inside means your own body defences will deal with it.getting it up is never easy anyway. Sorry. I cant carry on. Please contact me for any further info.

I have used an Aero chamber for years. It makes such a difference as to how much that you can get into your lungs. Wouldn't be without mine. I can order on my prescription as well.
