My inhaler has been changed from fostair100 to foxtail 200 and I was wondering if anyone else gets tightening of the chest after taking.

Did you mean a change from Fostair 100/6 to Fostair 200/6? If so mine got changed to the 200/6 last year, whilst I did notice the change it did not cause me any problems and soon got used to it. If it is having an adverse affect on you then see your GP there are other inhalers available that have the higher corticosteroid content.
My Sirdupla 25/250 mcg inhaler was changed to Fostair 200/6 in April on the advice of the resident pharmacist at the surgery l had a asthma check by. It was a 3 mth trial & that’s about as long as it lasted. After the 1st mth l had a chest infection & Doc prescribed 5 days antibiotics. After 2nd mth infection worse, another Doc prescribed 7 days stronger antibiotics. After 3rd mth infection worse, 3rd Doc gave much more thorough chest check & found right lung problem, prescribed 10 day doses of another antibiotic & steroids & changed inhaler back to original. Had another check after 2 days & lung was clear, thankfully, infection cleared and l ‘m still good.
For Vasculitis patients, it’s essential for doctors to read medical history thoroughly, particularly if they’re not familiar with this condition & the type, mine being EGPA. No sure if pharmacists should be changing inhalers without first being authorised by my hospital consultant??
