Well had another app with Dr she was really pleased that ny new inhaler is helping me do bit more. Have always had a spacer to use with them but she has referred me to the nurses to change over to powdered inhaler so so it's easier for me to take and use out and about .have no idea about powdered ones. ? Are these better or worse.

Can't help on the inhaler query but it is good to hear from you and that you are having contact with your new-ish team. All the best for the new academic year.

Hi I use a powder inhaler Bricanyl as my reliever. I can't use any inhaler without a spacer so I have powder reliever for when I go out. Very easy to use and really works. I have used Bricanyl for years . Helpful if how to use it is shown to you but easy to do. Good luck.

It depends how well you get on with a powder inhaler Pokermon. Pete can’t use them after they make him cough more but everyone’s different. Worth a try. Wishing you well at college. Xxx

With powder inhalers, you need to make sure you rinse your mouth after using them.

As oshgosh says, it's quite important to rinse your mouth, gargle and spite out with powder inhalers. I must say I'm not sure why she's changing it if you've been getting on okay with a spacer and its an improvement on the last one.

All the best with the new term. Peege

Think it's so it's easier to carry around and use at college but if I have to still gargle and rince out not going to be much help will talk it over with nurses and see what they say .

Hi Pokermon 😊It’s good to hear from you! I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ about the powdered inhalers but hope the swap is positive and remains as helpful as the other one! Definitely chat it through with the nurse when you see her!

Hope college is going well still and that you and your mum and family are ok?!

Hi PokermonI’m on Fostair which is a powder inhaler. Without it my breathing is not good . I used to use Qvar which was also fine. I was changed to Fostair after having pneumonia and Aspergillosis. I think powder ones can be more effective.

Best of luck with whatever you end up with . Spacers are a problem out so must confess I didn't take mine out. Just the inhalers. Not out these days anyway.
