Having a lung function test tomorrow and I have a headcold which came on last night. Will it affect the results? I am seeing consultant next Monday to discuss results. Last time I was slightly below normal.

It could, I had to cancel mine because of a cold and wait until I was better. Good luck
i did mine last week with cold and it went up
There are so many things that could alter the test result that personally I would take the test as your results should not be that badly affected.
If they are lower than what might seem reasonable I would ask to have it repeated after you are no longer sick and if they don’t seem to be affected then it is done.
Mollypet, Emily61 and a group of respiratory therapists all agree... they would reschedule the appointment until the cold is completely done, as it can effect your test. But, the decision is yours, of course!!!
Take care of your cold, stay warm and rest,
Feel better soon,
Meg
