I went to see the emergency doctor at my local surgery due to ongoing chest infection. I am feeling pretty rubbish but trying to keep going.m My oxygen levels are between 89 and 92%
He told me that the specalist is looking at lung reduction surgery for me. The first i have heard so i dont know what will happen next.

I had that operation two years ago, but now deteriorating to my previous status. They won’t do the other lung as it’s ‘too dangerous’. Best wishes to you.
There’s quite a strict criteria for LVRS and you would have to undergo a series of tests . In some cases if you aren’t considered suitable you may be offered endobronchial valves . It’s quite a long process .
Hello Corin & hope, I am going to have a CT scan tomorrow, and I suppose depending on the results my consultant said she would perform a LVRS, haven't a clue really what that entails, so feeling a little anxious! but anything to help the breathlessness would be great!
