I am also thinking about taking CBD oil. I am having similar problems with repeated chest infections. Apparently Holland and Barrett is so weak. Look on Facebook under cannabis oils success stories. You can get lots of info their. I feel I need to try something else.
I was diagnosed with copd in 2013. I was first admitted to Alder Hay hospital, in 1958, at a year old with breathing issues and whenever I was poorly it was always chest related. At school the BCG test given prior to injection, made my arm swell and become inflamed meaning I could not have the full inoculation. It annoys me intensely that in order to prevent chest infections, in a way that works for me, I have to be reliant on people breaking the law. Good luck with your research and health.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been through so much since a small child😔 Interestingly, my mum didn't have her BCG in school either as she had same reaction to the test. Do you feel this has caused you to have more chest problems ? Are you currently using CBD?
PLEASE REMAIN AWARE THAT WHILST THE BLF AND HEALTHUNLOCKED ALLOW DISCUSSION OF NEW AND ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS AND TRIALS THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE DETAILING THE USE OF SUBSTANCES WHICH ARE CURRENTLY ILLEGAL IN THE UK.
THIS DOES NOT EXCLUDE CBD OIL FROM DISCUSSION AS IT IS A LEGAL SUBSTANCE.
Are you able to mention which substances are illegal in the UK, since I do not know, as I am in the States, so I do not try to discuss them? Thank you.
i do not think that there are any laws in the u.k prohibiting the discussion of any substances provided that they are not promoted, consumed.distributed or held within your possession if that is illegal to do so.Rules regarding discussing them on this medium may differ according to the terms and conditions of the site.
I think CBD oil is legal to be fair. You might be thinking of THC oil, which albeit more potent & possibly has calming properties, is in fact currently illegal in the uk, bar very occasionally being prescribed medinically by a tiny number of ok doctors.
Recurring chest infections. What other meds’ are being taken. If so check the leaflet with the meds and see if recurring infections are a side effect that affect SOME people. Worked for me. Best of luck
There is only salbutamol I recognise from those you have listed and it wasn’t my problem so sorry I can’t help. Seratide was changed to Fostair helped me.
I take it daily, I get mine from Amazon. It doesn't affect everyone the same. In my case it doesn't help with recurring chest infection (the best thing for that is taking Azithromycin 3 times a week )
It doesn't help my pain either. But it does help my anxiety levels a lot.
The legal stuff sold in the UK is not really strong enough to do a lot of difference. But if it does something, as in my case it's worth trying.
I tried CBD once on Amazon and threw it in the trash, worthless. I’m in US and can order from any state really but my distributor is from Oregon where this all kind of started. Please don’t give up on it dear consistency is key along with starting around .25ml for a few days 2x a day slowly increase a few drops at a time. Start with like 700mg bottle and up. I started with 700 and am now 1600mgs but NOT full droppers omg you’d go through it in a week! Again.25 working your way to the spot that works for you and trust me it’ll be about.75ml at 2x a day second drop take before sleep. Best of luck to you and if you can pm me through FB or want my email just post here and we’ll figure it out together! 😇
If your mum is getting re occurring infections then she would need to ask to be prescribed azithroymcin, many severe lung patients take this as a precautionary . It helps to cut back on the rate of the infection and it also helps deal with the severity, she would still need her emergency pack of antibx which everyone who is severe should have in house at all times in the event there is change in sputum colour or tightness on chest. Many severe lung patients know their oncoming symptoms all to well, and its vital to get on the antibx when there are signs . Also she should be advised on the length of course she needs many do not respond well to 7 days and are informed to stay on 10 , all this should be being discussed with her Consultant or they should be advising her...I have heard about the oil personally I take my meds as prescribed and I am very severe and have had success at stamping out more of them since the azithroymcin 3 times weekly, its mostly down to her care providers to decide on this and the prescription needs to be authorized by the too. Good luck.
