Many years ago after my lung resection my surgeon advised not taking vit B supplements, this was back in 2005, and I found something on the internet that now suggests that male smokers who take B vits are more exposed to lung cancer. I wonder if anyone has done some research, or any on this?

Hi sassy, well, I only knew not to take it because the doctor advised against it. I read up about it though and at that time research suggested that even women were 'endangered'. 😊If we followed too many researches we'd probably give up vitamins and food in general😁🤗
I love Marmite, it is a source of B vitamins and have eaten it for years and I spread it on thickly. Currently my Lung Cancer is in remission, but I cannot say one way or the other whether Marmite contributed to it as well as smoking. I think I might be foregoing it in the future though, not wanting to tempt fate with a dodgy wicket.
Thanks for your response 2greys, it's interesting enough, although women have not been included in their results, only men. I love Marmite, won't give that up👍😁
I've only ever heard about a risk associated with high doses of vitamins A and E but found this
