Here is a photo of me and my late mother in 1981, I would have to climb up in my loft, which would suffocate me in this weather, to find anything earlier than that.
My Mum had tb when she was 17 and nearly died in the sanatorium. If it haven't been for my Dad’s visits in the war when he was on leave she would have probably died but survived and lived until 1996 a year after my Dad died.

A lovely photo and lovely memories too I’m sure. My mum was engaged to a man called Peter who went to a sanatorium with Tb. The engagement was ended and some years later my mum met my dad....thank goodness. Xxxxx😀
Lovely photo Patsy, did your dad take it?i bet he was chuffed to have such lovely ladies in his life, hope you both saved him a glass of wine before you quaffed it all lol.
You must forgive me but i am nosy and inquisitive by nature, thanks once again for the lovely photo,i too love to look at old pictures with my parents in as they evoke such lovely memories.
Oh Patsy what a lovely photo. Bet it brought back great memories today. We cant replace our memories but we can keep adding to them. Have a lovely weekend. I was a bit like you today and nearly went up the loft to look for pictures but thought the heat and the smell of the insulation would have made me I'll. Will do it another day .Maz x
Thanks Maz and enjoy your weekend too. Yes the memories are such good one's. My parents died when I was in my 40’s. I think I was in my early 20’s in that picture. So they have been dead a good 26 years still miss them as we all do. Maybe leave found in your lift for the time being 😄 x
Thank you Gladwyn people said we looked alike. Such good memories and laughter and I think I have turned into my mum with her clumsyness, chest problem and ditziness which made us all laugh. 😂
Me too with my dad. Miss him so much. Even a song (he used to sing along to certain songs). His zany sense of humour etc. Still have my mum and lots of family and friends, Love to look at old photos and bring back memories of happy times,.
Totally agree, love lookong at old photos. I had 9 moves in 10 years and had a box go missing on one of the moves, and i think things always get lost along the way. I do have some photos and one or two albums which i treasure x
Ha ha my family won’t let me go up there anymore they are more afraid I will fall down as I am so clumsy. It must be unbearable up there with all this heat
Patsy 164.It is a beautiful mother and daughter photo. Thank you for sharing it. And what a wonderful love story with your dad's visits saving your mum's life.
