I also have a lung nodule. They can be clinically significant or non significant. My own as not done nothing in seven years. Obviously you must be worried but the only thing that can be done is to keep an eye on them with scans.

Thank you for replying its reassuring to know that the nodule could just stay as it is, and i should be having another scan in three months but it is worrying as i already have copd which so far has remained in mid range i wish you all the best and again thank you for replying

I have nodules in my lungs which were found after a Ct scan. Had another scan done 12 weeks later and because they had not changed size they were classed as harmless .

When i was scanned first time for COPD they also identified 4 nodules , but many scans later over 3 years they concluded the nodules werent growing.

Lung nodules are quite common, I think it’s normal that follow up scans are scheduled to monitor the size, if it does get larger then the doctor would start investigating to find out what is causing the nodule.

Hi Chrissca71, I too have multiple nodules of varying sizes. I have developed more in the last12 months so now my scans will be every 6 months. At first I was scared but now I try not to worry about them.

I have a nodule too. I’ve had scary PET-CT scans and ordinary CT scans and they’ve concluded that, as it’s not growing it’s nothing to worry about. Most nodules are phlegm but they have to check in case it’s not benign. Stay safe

I've q a big nodule.its routine to do 3mth scans to keep eye on them.my own attitude I've forced on myself is - don't worry till they tell u there's something to worry about.its hard, but if u tell yrself often enough,it works.all the best x
