Controlling behaviour

A catterick woman was recently arrested for using controlling behaviour after asking her body building husband to stop going to the gym as much and to do some hoovering and wash the patio doors , lol

This lady spent 17hrs locked in the cells and was charged ( which were later dropped) under the new controlling behaviour laws .

Finally mans struggle against oppression and nagging has been recognised so ask us men to clean the house at your peril ladies 🀣🀣

Hmmm.... I skimmed this story earlier. And I might be wrong but I think I read that she worked and he had been laid off and spent a lot of his time in the gym. I guess maybe she may have been fed up with doing all the housework and working too. 😞 But of course I don't know the whole story.

It just tickled my sense of humour, of course the lazy fella should help round the house this isnt the 1960s , hes obviously fit I'd love to feel like I've not done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson after doing a little housework

Of course if he did some housework, he would not need to spend so much money going to the gym. I must admit I did not know if I should giggle or scream.

If room service is provided 17hrs sounds wonderful but I doubt the custody Sargent will be bringing eggs Benedict for breakfast

As Lenin said β€˜..... petty housework crushes, strangles, stultified and degrades (the woman),chains her to the kitchen sink and to the nursery, and wastes her time on barbarously unproductive, petty, nerve racking, stultifying and crushing drudgery.’

Not a great fan of Lenin but may have a point here

Your From The same Type of family and Upbringing as mine. I am one of 8 kids 6 Brothers 1 sister, Alas Mum & two Brothers Passed, I was a Middle Kid. But that Era, you had to have your Manners & Respect, Boys taught to Knit and make cups of Tea,( Were Little Rascals), Aunties, loads of them , My Mum one of 13, Those days were not Good old Days. A Clout was Normal if Needed, or Smack the Legs. Thank God , I passed this on to my Children who have done so with theirs. My Son was in Armed Force of Met, now a Sargent(gave up arms after The Murder of his Colleague at Westminster Bridge) so Common sense and upbringing has always been his weapon of Fairness & Justice. I Thank my Upbringing as I'm sure you Do Hun, we still can save our Younger Gen, I live in Hope. Love n Hugs (Sorry I've gone on a Bit). XXX

A very poor example of what this law was brought in to prevent. Just an option but by using this law in such a ridiculous way undermines the cause it was brought in to prevent. I am sure that Victims of controlling behavior will find their cause harmed by this report. I know new laws require testing but using what was basically a dispute over housework as an example was stupid beyond words.

soulboy118 profile image
soulboy118β€’ in reply toBadbessie

Couldnt agree more , that was one law that has been sorely needed ,when I read this case it was like a comedy sketch ,which moron copper thought yo interpret that law in that way? I'm thinking retraining is needed but having said that in this case tbe mess up didnt have tragic consequences
