It makes you wonder what we are all exposed to in everyday products.

I get the image of mad scientists just adding chemicals to everyday products just to justify their jobs

Thanks for this soulboy, just looked it up and no wonder so many kids have developed asthma with products containing triclosan, as well as damaging the immune system. Its disgusting that we are subjected to so much harm so that big companies can make a profit, they should be held more accountable, especially when some companies have known for years the dangers of their products.

Why is it that things banned in the US are allowed to remain in our product supply chain for longer and " phased" out. We re too slow to react.

Excellent question! I was working in the USA when the triclosan ban came out - I was using a toothpaste listing it as the first ingredient, couldn't bin that lot fast enough and it taught me to be much more careful to read ingredient labels when I retired home in 2010.

I think it’s great soulboy that you regularly share these bizarre findings with us. 😁 After your post about nasal spray tan I wondered how that would affect someone who had sinusitis and blew their nose frequently😂

Well it's better if the " brown stuff" comes out of their nose rather than their mouth 😏

Me too! I've been going around reading everything. So far I haven't found anything with triclosan. I get a lot of my toiletries from Animal Aid though, because the things from there don't seem to adversely affect my skin or breathing. Is triclosan only in Unilever products? I looked at Dettol soap which doesn't appear to contain this chemical.

Unilever sells 2 billion items a day world wide and has products in 98% of British homes, their product list covers almost all home cleaning and personal care products , they also product food ( pot noodle, marmite to name just two) off the top of my head they sell dove soap Lipton tea as well , I just think we as chronic illness sufferes should monitor the products we buy

I have checked my Bathroom Items, none of the ingrediants have this, just a warning on how small an amount for children to use under 6 years old, "Toothpaste" that is. My Anti Bac hand wash is "Dove" all clear. I'll just carry on as Normal, Too late to Change Now, But Thank You Soulboy for Bringing all your Valid Posts to us. xxxx
