Remember you cannot totally take what an oximeter says as the truth of your oxigen status only blood gases are reliable if taken properly.smokers and people with known lung problems should never think they are accurate, just take it as a rough reading.

Exercise is the ONLY WAY to improve your lungs.also eat well, good proteins and avoid milk and all milk products they are known to effect the lungs with allergys and mucus.drink almond milk or soya milk.

That is interesting. I tend not to drink a lot of milk but have semi skimmed on my cereals... but the yoghurt? I eat quite a lot of that product. It hasn't caused many

problems? X

Well milk is known to increase mucus so not a good idea in those with lung issues.dont forget that milk also contains live white blood cells from cows.for some milk is fine but fir anyone with a chronic lung problem they should abstain from all milk prouducts for 1 month and see if there condition improves.worth a try!but remember ALL milk products.

Hi Mortalguy.

Dairy products also affect me and makes my mucus thick and very sticky. 7 seven chest infections in a row was enough to make me give up milk and cheese.

There are other good sources of calcium see the link below.
