Is it usual to get pains across the chest with copd, At 4am this morning I woke with quite painful pains across my chest and right in the centre. I had to get up as I couldn't lay flat. It lasted around half hour, then I dropped back off to sleep. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have always been told that any chest pain should be checked out.

Thanks Izb1, I will do. My husband said it could be a warning, but I'm in denile and said it was probably heartburn so as not to worry him as he's just had a pfo closure in his heart. Don't want to stress him. Though I now you are right.

Its just not worth taking the risk, it could be nothing more than heartburn, but could be something more serious x
