Has anyone had tests in one of these booths?
I m claustrophobic following an accident.
Is the patient able to get out if he or she feeps panicky or are they unlocked by the technician.

As far as I recall the door was similar to a shower door & all glass, you definitely aren't locked in.
I have had this every six months as part of the pulmonary function test. No problem for me. It doesn't last long. It is like a shower cubicle. Nothing like an MRI for instance. You can communicate with the physiologist all the time and you will not be locked in. But there are other ways of getting lung volume numbers. If you are really worried about it discuss it with the physiologists. Maybe give it a go and tap on the door if it’s too much.
Hi boys honestly you have nothing to worry about ,were claustrophobia is concerned, I was the same as you as I carnt stand small spaces ,iwas petrified going for mine ,I told the nurse how I felt , she said open door and come out ,I found there was no need ,by the time I listened to the instruction on how to breath I was fine ,if you are like me just that knowing I can come out if wanted to I was ok ,it is like a glass shower cubical with a door ,and a handle inside ,no need yo worry what so ever you are not trapped in there ,you are free yo walk out if you want
I don't know if they all are the same, but the one in which I was tested was totally clear glass, like sitting inside of a large glass cylinder. I had a 360 view of the entire room it set in. It had a door, but it was not locked. J
