Listen to your Dr.

JouJou when doctors say there is no stage for people with very mild symptoms they are often referring to the fact that staging at such an early onset of a condition is pointless as it would only give you cause for concern where actually none is required and that you should continue to carry on normally with your life and all is relatively well. :)

Tkank you I know that, but the doctor just said stop smoking and will not progress the disease and I am new in this disease naturally afraid and I want to know everything and at any stage I and I have a lot of questions and the doctor does not answer questions that in my head just says you are fine

Go with what your doctors has said enjoy your life, live your life

Joujou, your doctor doesn't want to answer your questions for fear of raising your anxiety, which is already unnecessarily high so try not to complicate what is a very mild condition and concentrate on enjoying life. :)

Well done and good luck now get on with living

Thank you my friend

I only really know about fev1 and fvc as these are the measures of most relevance to my daughter’s lung condition, but any percentage figure for those two readings above 80% would be classed as ‘normal’ e.g. no obvious respiratory disease. The only number here that even suggests a lung condition from what I can see and my understanding of spirometry is your PEF - peak expiratory flow. I know in other lung conditions that some of the other figures are actually as important, but the bottom line when I look at your numbers is that your fev1 and fvc are both in excess of 100%, and more importantly, your doctor is telling you that there’s no stage to give (which I would interpret to mean you’re very mild); if you stop smoking as instructed, hopefully you’ll continue to have a long, relatively healthy life with little in the way of restrictions as a result of your lungs.

Thank you and I hope your daughter will stay fine

I had a spirometry test last year where you blow as hard as you can into a machine after I had a blood clot in my lungs and it wasn't very nice!
