Back From Bronch

Update on the Valves. Had NO Sedation only throat spray, still quite sore and my Sat's are still down. I watched the procedure on a screen, during choking, runny eyes and to be truthful it was awful. It seems the camera couldn't get passed the first Valve, the scan did show 3 the 4th one couldn't be seen. I have to go back in to see if they can retrieve the 4th and replace it with Number 5. They did rinse what could be seen, I truly felt it. Amy said I may feel an improvement after the rinse. Next time I will have a Heavy Sedation. Fingers crossed it won't be too much Longer waiting, 3 weeks she said.xxx

My dear Carino either you are very brave or very foolish to undergo it without any sedation,i got slightly puzzled and thought you were going back in today for the full monty.rest up now and hopefully just the rinse will keep you on track for the next couple of weeks.

Welcome to the missing valve club it is quite an elite establishment and we don't let just any old bronch in lol

Good Morning My Dear Buddy. I have rested now, still have a sore Throat. I'm always up early(5am) today. They never said , only that they thought I didn't need to have Full Sedation and the Throat Spray will be enough....No no no, Next time I will insist. My Consultant Amy said I will see her in 3 weeks time after they have re studied the X Rays & CT Scan and to secure my Admission then for a New Valve. I have had the "Rinsing" flushed with Seline, hopefully I should feel the benefits of that.? I will keep you Updated Dear Friend. Hope your Feeling Better now and able to do things Easier. You’re braver than me! I had a bronchoscopy before Christmas,accepted sedation.

Went without a hitch,minimal side effects.

Amazingly ,I didn’t have a sore throat afterwards.

Chest sounded a bit noisy,coughed a lot! Did t remember a thing. Look after yourself

Hi, last year I had 4 Valves inserted with full sedation, nevet felt a thing and no sore throat. This time they informed me it was to explore and only a throat spray , no sedation. Never again, I go back in 3 weeks to have another Valve , I will make sure they give me sedation.xx
