Bronchoscopy WITHOUT Sedation

This is an update post in response to my last one for anyone wondering or having the same struggle I did.

Today I got my bronchoscopy! I was worried about getting sedation with it so I opted to have no sedation! Just the throat numbing spray. I am here to say it was NOT the worst thing of my life! If you are trying to decide to get it with or without sedation/ anesthesia, I am here to tell you that you definitely can get it without them and just with the throat spray! It was uncomfortable, but extremely quick! The worst part was getting it passed through the voice box, once that happens your money! Now a few hours later my throat is just a bit sore.

God sustained me through the procedure and blessed me with clear results, no lung cancer!

The search to figure out why I’m spitting up blood sometimes is still on, but Glory be to God that this came clear. He will provide all answers and healing!

God bless you all

That’s good news about the result, and also it’s great that you got through it ok, you’d seemed pretty apprehensive. Which is totally understandable! I’m glad it all went alright. Hopefully the doctors will soon get to the bottom of what’s causing the blood. Take care of yourself.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad that it wasn't the ordeal you expected. I felt sure that you would be OK with the procedure; thought is often worse than the event. Good news that you are free grom cancer.

Happy for you. Sorry if I scared you with my panic story before! I meant to say once it's past the throat it's not too bad but by the time I came to reply you would have had it done anyway! Hope they find some answers for you soon x
